DESIGN & PRODUCTION INTERNSHIP AT ARMA & STUDIO AR
Founded in 1985 as a family-owned atelier, ARMA has built decades of expertise in leather, shearling, and suede. Now led by the second generation, the company continues to evolve, bringing together heritage craftsmanship and a modern approach to design across its brands ARMA and STUDIO AR.
For our team in Badhoevedorp, we are looking for a Design & Production intern starting February 2027 (5–6 months).
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Design & Production intern, you will be closely involved in the development of collections for ARMA and STUDIO AR. Working alongside the design team, you will support both the creative and commercial sides of collection development, from initial concepts and technical drawings to product assortments and sample management. You have a strong interest in fashion, trends, and product development, with an eye for both design and commercial opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in collection merchandising and developing product assortments
• Support the development of collection designs, technical drawings, and worksheets
• Create and adapt artworks using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Support sample development, fittings, and quality checks
• Research trends, materials, and colours to inspire new collections
• Contribute fresh ideas and creative input throughout the design process
• Maintain and organise sample archives and the showroom
• Support the design team with daily operational and administrative tasks
REQUIREMENTS
• Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion, Design, Merchandising, or a related field
• A strong eye for design, product assortments, and commercial trends
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• An interest in both the creative and commercial aspects of fashion
• Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Able to manage multiple tasks and work independently
• Strong analytical skills with a creative mindset
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
• A collaborative team player with a hands-on mentality
• Available full-time (40 hours per week)
• In possession of a valid driver’s license
