CARE

They say leather gets better with age and we couldn’t agree more..

Made from natural materials, our pieces are crafted so you can wear them for decades to come.

Leather, wool and shearling are durable materials that last, but also need care once in a while.

SHEEP LEATHER

For our collections, we mostly use sheep leather because of its great luster and durability. It’s a versatile material that is widely known for its grain structure. As it is polished with a wax finish, the leather skin is durable and outside dirt won’t easily affect the material.

But just like humans, the skin of animals can show small scars, pores or discoloration. Please know that these aren’t material flaws, as it only shows the authenticity that is distinctive for genuine leather pieces. To make sure our pieces stay in their best shape, we recommend the following care instructions:

- Before wearing, treat it with a water-repellent spray. Spray it at around 30CM from the garment, and let it airdry outside (in dry weather) after.

- Avoid wearing sheep leather in (heavy) rain. If this does happen, gently pat dry with a cloth and let them airdry after.

- Avoid prolonged exposure to sun, artificial light or moisture.

- Always store your leather items hanging on a sturdy clothing hanger.

- Wait a few minutes with wearing leather items after applying perfume, oils or moisturizer to the skin.

- Do not store leather items in plastic.

- To clean leather items, please bring them to a professional leather specialist.

WASHABLE STRETCH LEATHER

We have been working alongside technicians who were the first to come up with the concept of stretch leather. Over the years, we have perfected the technique with them to the premium quality our customers know today.

All of our pieces have an unmatched lightness, that comes from a careful dressing before being fused on to a cotton and Lycra mix which makes them stretchable.  This body-hugging quality is just as smooth as it is stretchy, and truly fits like a second skin around your body. To make sure our pieces stay in their best shape, we recommend the following care instructions:

- Our stretch leather quality is machine-washable. Please read the washing instructions that are attached tot every item carefully as the need to be washed in a specific manner.

- Avoid prolonged exposure to sun, artificial light or moisture.

- Do not store stretch leather items in plastic.

SHEARLING (SHEEPSKIN)

Shearling is a very durable and luxurious material that we mostly use for winter coats. It’s the perfect material for this as it naturally retains heat, even in frigid temperatures. Through time it gets more supple, and with the right care it really ages beautifully. To make sure our pieces stay in their best shape, we recommend the following care instructions:

- Before wearing, treat it with a water-repellent spray. Spray it at around 30CM from the garment, and let it airdry outside (in dry weather) after.

- Shearling is not recommended for regular wear in the rain, but it will repel water and dry easily in a room if you do happen to be caught in a storm.

- Avoid prolonged exposure to sun, artificial light or moisture.

- Always store your shearling items hanging on a sturdy clothing hanger.

- Do not store shearling items in plastic.

- To clean shearling items, please bring them to a professional leather specialist.

SUEDE

Goat suede is a very well-represented material in our collections, as it possesses the perfect balance between classy and cute. Unlike most kinds of leather, suede is made from the underside of animal skin, in stead of the upper side.

Therefore, suede is also more delicate and should be treated as a luxury material. It lacks the toughness of normal leather, but is much softer and more comfortable when worn on the skin. To make sure our pieces stay in their best shape, we recommend the following care instructions:

- Before wearing, treat it with a water-repellent spray. Spray it at around 30CM from the garment, and let it airdry outside (in dry weather) after.

- Suede is not recommended to be worn outside in rain. If it does get wet, please bring it to a leather specialist.

- Discoloration and greasy edges on the material can be removed with a suede cleaning block.

- Avoid prolonged exposure to sun, artificial light or moisture.

- Do not store suede items in plastic.

- To clean suede items, please bring them to a professional leather specialist.

WOOL

Wool items are the perfect transitional pieces that work all year round. We use a premium quality blend that is made from 80 percent pure wool. Our pieces are made from a double-faced wool that required a particular finishing technique only possible through hand stitching. They are amazing for styling all year round, especially in combination with our leather items. To make sure our pieces stay in their best shape, we recommend the following care instructions:

- Wool items can be brought to a dry-cleaning service for cleaning.

- Please do not machine wash them as the fabric is not suitable for this treatment.

- Make sure that wool items are clean and do not have food stains or body oils when storing them away, to prevent moths.

- Always store your wool jackets hanging on a sturdy clothing hanger.

- Avoid prolonged exposure to sun, artificial light or moisture.

FAUX MOHAIR

Faux mohair is a new addition to our Fall-Winter 2022 collection. Made from a brushed wool mix, we celebrate it for its great luster and durability. The fabric is comprised of wool and acrylic yarns, and embodies the look of mohair perfectly. For this collection, we used it for a selection of our outerwear items as the material works perfectly with different weather conditions and temperatures. To make sure our pieces stay in their best shape, we recommend the following care instructions:

- Faux Mohair items can be brought to a dry-cleaning service for cleaning, please do not machine wash them as the fabric is not suitable for this treatment.

- Always store your faux mohair jackets hanging on a sturdy clothing hanger.

- Avoid prolonged exposure to sun, artificial light or moisture.

- Do not store faux mohair items in plastic.

- Faux Mohair is not recommended to be worn outside in heavy rain. If it does get really wet, please let it airdry in room temperature, and do not lay on heating or in the sun.

TEDDY WOOL

Our Teddy wool has a very fluffy surface, as one would expect. It’s often described as sheep fabric, because of its soft and tufty fibres. The fabric remains breathable while still protecting the wearers’ body temperature on colder days. For our collections, we mostly use it for jackets and coats. To make sure our pieces stay in their best shape, we recommend the following care instructions:

- Teddy wool items can be brought to a dry-cleaning service for cleaning, please do not machine wash them as the fabric is not suitable for this treatment.

- Always store your teddy wool jackets hanging on a sturdy clothing hanger.

- Avoid prolonged exposure to sun, artificial light or moisture.

- Teddy wool is not recommended to be worn outside in heavy rain. If it does get really wet, please let it airdry in room temperature, and do not lay on heating or in the sun.

- We suggest brushing it from time to time, to remove smog and dust.
